About Us

Herb Wycherley

Herb is a true testament to how important experience is when it comes to construction. For years he lived in Vancouver and owned and managed Darwin Construction (Canada) Ltd. which is a large contracting/development company. He and his wife Pat were drawn to the Okanagan and made the decision to sell Darwin Construction and live in Osoyoos full time. This has led the Wycherley's to become partners in HW McLean Construction Ltd.

Herb has more than 35 years of experience and training with residential, commercial and civil construction. Being involved in these projects from the planning stages to completion has given him invaluable skills and experience which gets applied to every job whether big or small. Here are examples:

Len McLean

Len originally moved to the South Okanagan to complete the Watermark Beach Resort in Osoyoos in August of 2008 and was the Project Manager until its completion in March 2010. Osoyoos was the ideal place for Len and his family to call home which is what let him to start HW McLean in 2010. Len has been in the construction industry for over 20 years and has experience in residential, commercial and institutional projects. Len has coordinated many different jobs from small fix ups to complex multi-million dollar projects. He also has a keen eye for both layout and interior design and has either designed or assisted in the design of many projects.

Through the years Len has taken numerous construction courses and attended seminars whenever possible, earning his Gold Seal designation as a Project Manager through the Canadian Construction Association in 2007. This designation is awarded to those people in the industry with a high level of construction knowledge, management skill and ethical business practices. From personal and professional experience Len's goal is and always will be to provide the highest quality service and product to every client. Here are examples:
